Peloton Heart Rate Band hands-on review [Video]

Today we take a hands-on look at the new Peloton Heart Rate Armband. Peloton’s previous heart rate monitor was well known to be a cheap, poorly made device (which they still sell for $34). However, this new Peloton armband is strong step in the right direction. You can easily tell that there is a similar design philosophy as used in the recent Peloton Guide.

Today, COROS announced a new firmware update which will add 10 new features to their VERTIX, VERTIX 2, APEX Pro, and Pace 2 smart watches. Review: Back Bay Runner 60 and Tempo 30 Wireless Earbuds

In this review, we’re covering two styles of earbuds in the current Back Bay Brand lineup: the Runner 60 and Tempo 30. One trip to the Back Bay website and it’s clear: the goal is to bring you the best in workout audio. Runner 60 and Tempo 30 have appeared on many ‘Best of’ lists for affordable earbuds or fitness accessories. But after experiencing how good they are, it seems a shame to pigeonhole them into any one category.

A “Zwift for Rowers”: the EXR Rowing App, now also available on Apple TV

I’ve been spending some time lately testing out the EXR Rowing App, which I can best describe as a “Zwift for Rowers”. EXR is able to connect with a variety of rowers to create an online training platform with an excellent variety of workouts, gamification, and virtual locations. The app is now available on Apple TV, in addition to Mac, iOS, Android, and Windows.

New iOS app, CycleStats, helps track and analyze your Peloton workouts

The Peloton Bike does a great job of tracking your workout metrics after each ride. While these metrics are all viewable under your profile, it has not been organized well to allow members to easily analyze and track their progress.

Released today, a new iOS app called CycleStats seeks to solve this problem, both with better visualized training data and more comprehensive analytics tools.

Peloton’s new Split Programs: In-depth breakdown

For the first time, Peloton has released strength focused split programs for its members. These programs are designed to be repeated for four weeks, with specific days designated to work various muscle groups. While a very traditional approach to strength training, it is new to Peloton members.

The split programs have been made available as Peloton Guide exclusives for the first seven weeks. However, with the links below, all Peloton members can take them without having to wait.
