Peloton’s new video game mode, called ‘LaneBreak’, is now live on both the Peloton Bike and Bike+. The two-month-long beta ended last week, and now the new mode is available for all Peloton bike owners after installing the latest update.

Peloton’s brand-new CEO Barry McCarthy tried to quell rumors that the company is teeing up for a sale, saying instead that it will “double down” on content and international expansion, according to a new report.

A new report claims that Peloton owes at least five of its employees across various divisions within the company pay for work they performed. Concerns have been raised by sales and delivery staff, assembly workers, and video production employees around the country.

Peloton CEO and co-founder John Foley published an open letter yesterday in response to media reports that the company will temporarily halt production of its bikes and treadmills, stating that leaked internal documents were “incomplete, out of context, and not reflective of Peloton’s strategy.”

In late 2019, Peloton aired a Holiday commercial that garnered media backlash. In early 2020, it became a media darling as the COVID–19 pandemic shut down gyms, and people were forced to work out at home for many months. On 12/21/20, Peloton’s stock peaked at $162.72. Today, it sits at $38.51. That puts it just above its $23.01 price around the time when the WHO declared a pandemic. That’s quite a rise and fall for a company with devoted subscribers and continue low churn. With a market cap of just 15 billion, it will be a prime acquisition target in 2022. Who will the buyer be?
