iFIT acquires Sweat

iFIT has officially announced their upcoming acquisition of Sweat, which is an online fitness app designed for women. Sweat, which was cofounded by CEO Tobi Pearce and trainer Kayla Itsines in 2015, is rumored to have been sold for around $300 million. IFIT plans to keep Sweat as a standalone brand, as they have with their other brands like NordicTrack and Proform.

Peloton survey focuses on two new potential strength products

Pelobuddy recently reported on an anonymous tip that Peloton is conducting a survey around the pricing of two new potential strength products. One product is called the “Peloton Focus,” which is described as innovative camera technology that transforms your TV in a home gym (likely previously coded as “The Tiger”). The other product is called the “Peloton Platform,” which is described as a weight bench for an efficient full-body workout.

On Monday June 21 [EDIT: the date has been pushed back to Tuesday, June 22], iFIT will be releasing a special workout in their Heart To Heart series, in which iFIT trainer Jesse Corbin discusses the trials and triumphs of his coming-out journey.

During the 30-minute workout, users will walk, run, and hike alongside Corbin through and beyond the Bonneville Salt Flats in northwestern Utah as the iFIT trainer covers a range of topics including how he learned to accept himself, embrace his unique journey, and reconcile his faith with his sexuality.
