ICON Health & Fitness officially announces name change to iFIT Health & Fitness Inc.

ICON Health & Fitness recently announced that they are changing their name to iFIT Health & Fitness. iFIT is their software platform that runs on all of their devices and delivers thousands of on-demand and live classes. The name change could be for many reasons, one of which is their belief and commitment to the importance of the connected fitness space.

The company name change to iFIT is also an important first step toward uniting their brand, creating a stronger community identity, and possibly setting themselves up for more success should they decide to go public later this year. Here are some of my thoughts on the importance of this move:

What do you think about ICON’s name change to iFIT? Will we see names like Nordictrack and Proform change as well? Let me know your thoughts in comments.

Interested in getting the iFIT’s Nordictrack S22i Bike. It’s on sale right now from Amazon for just $1,799 (Reg. $1,999)
