Perhaps with a nod to the strategic five-year global partnership between Peloton and lululemon, some of Peloton’s instructors have not only added new workout accessories to their pilates and barre classes, but those accessories happen to be lululemon. Head below for more details.
The Peloton and lululemon partnership has sparked some interesting news stories for the two companies, including a co-branded clothing line that has caught some (deserved) heat for its lack of inclusive sizing, and the story about lululemon no longer selling the Mirror in a move away from hardware and subscriptions (much more Peloton’s field).
In a much smaller, more subdued way, it seems now that Peloton’s instructors may be giving more than a wink and a nod to lululemon, as some of their instructors have incorporated lululemon accessories into their workouts.
As first reported by Pelo Buddy, Aditi Shah used lululemon-branded workout pilates sliders during her 15-minute pop punk pilates class, while Ally Love used lululemon resistance bands during two of her barre classes.
There are, of course, other options for accessories needed in a barre or a pilates class that don’t have to be lululemon, just as there are perfectly acceptable clothing options you can wear to a workout that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
