Peloton’s Sessions feature returns with scheduling integration

Peloton’s Sessions feature was released last year in a beta format as a way to schedule a ride or run with your friends and then get a fresh leaderboard. It’s now back with new functionality based on customer feedback and integration with the new Peloton Scheduling feature.

With the return, there are some key changes.

  • You can now schedule Sessions with friends from the iOS version of the Peloton Digital App. Peloton has said this addition was the #1 requested change from their members during the beta.
  • You can now also schedule a session for any ride or run that is longer than 20 minutes in length (no stacking at this time).

The previous method of joining an existing session every five minutes for the on-demand workouts is also back as before. Once your Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, and iOS software are updated to the latest version, Sessions will automatically appear at the top of the classes page.

Once you schedule a session in the scheduler on iOS, you’ll have able to share an invite via email, text messages, etc. Peloton has more details on their Sessions and scheduling blog post.
