Sessions feature going away next week as Peloton seeks feedback on the beta

Earlier this month, Peloton announced a beta of its new “Sessions” feature to help riders climb the leaderboard with other riders with on-demand classes. Earlier today, Peloton announced that the feature is going away but looks to return.

In the email, Peloton said:

We wanted to give you a heads up that Sessions will be turning off on Tuesday, 11/24! How are you liking the new feature? With your feedback, we’ll make it even better when it’s officially released.

Peloton is also seeking feedback from people who’ve tried the feature by offering a Google Form to submit thoughts and opinions.

CTW’s Take

I’ve enjoyed the feature in the few times I’ve used it. It’s a way for riders to join others at the same time without having to wait for a live class to begin. I’d love to see the feature expand to where you could create your own private session and send a link to others to join and add to their Peloton “schedule.”

Peloton Sessions could also be a fun way to expand outdoor runs where friends could run together and possibly voice chat with friends.
