Peloton adds new class category: Boxing Bootcamp

This morning, Peloton announced that it will be adding a brand new class category: Boxing Bootcamp. Like other Peloton boot camps, these classes will have you going back and forth between intervals of conditioning and strength training.

These new Peloton Boxing Bootcamp classes will be led by instructors Rad Lopez and Selena Samuela. Peloton says these classes should be available today on-demand. You can find them under the “Strength” category on all Peloton Bikes, Tread, and the digital app.

This comes in addition to Peloton announcing two additional coaches being added to the boxing roster: Becs Gentry and Jermaine Johnson.

Peloton launched its boxing classes in December last year with a two-week program called “Get Hooked.” It has continued to provide new live boxing classes on Friday nights. A recent collaboration with Eminem involved three back-to-back boxing workouts.

Our thoughts

While Peloton’s boxing classes have not yet seen large numbers of member participation, they have been well received by the Peloton community. The new boxing boot camp classes may be a great way to entice more members to finally give shadow boxing a try.

I have taken a handful of Peloton’s boxing classes and have found them to be very enjoyable and well produced. As a fan of the boot camp classes as well, I will certainly be giving these new classes a go.
