Even though Black History Month started on February 1, Peloton announced on Monday its plans for 2024 Black History Month including new classes, content, and celebrations. Head below for more details.
Rather than celebrating Black History Month with one big smattering of new classes and content, this year, Peloton has decided to divvy up its content into four specific categories: Black & Brilliant, Black Classics, Funk, and Legends of Hip Hop.
All of the classes offered will be available in the Black History Month Collection which includes content dating as far back as 2020. There is also a special Black History Month badge available for members who take any of the BHM classes. Included in this year’s Black History Month classes are:
- 45 min. Black Classics Full Body Strength – Jess Sims – 2/4/24 @ 1:30 p.m. EST
- 20 min. Black Classics Walk – Matty Maggiacomo – 2/6/24 @ 9:35 a.m. EST
- 20 min. Legends of Hip Hop Ride – Mila Lazar – 2/6/24 @ 1:30 p.m. EST [German]
- 30 min. Funk Ride – Hannah Corbin – 2/8/24 @ 12:00 p.m. EST
- 30 min. Funk Yoga Flow – Chelsea Jackson Roberts – 2/9/24 @ 2:00 p.m. EST
- 20 min. Funk Glutes & Legs Strength – Selena Samuela – 2/9/24 @ 5:30 p.m. EST
- 30 min. Black & Brilliant Run – Jeffrey McEachern – 2/11/24 @ 3:00 a.m. EST [German]
- 30 min. Black & Brilliant Walk – Joslyn Thompson Rule – 2/12/24 @ 2:30 a.m. EST
There is also a Virtual Community Event to take place on Wednesday, February 14, from 4:00-4:45 p.m. EST. Panelists include Peloton instructors Tunde Oyeneyin, Jess Sim, and Kirsten Ferguson, who will come together to discuss the role of connections, shared experiences, and collective success.
Where would we be without our friends, sisters, and support? Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking panel discussion as we celebrate Black History Month by exploring the significance of friendship and a strong support system.
