Peloton’s Lanebreak wheels its way to Peloton Tread+

Lanebreak, Peloton’s gaming-inspired experience, is now available on the Peloton Tread+. Lanebreak combines motivational music and immersive visuals to give users a truly unique experience while working out that is now rolling out to the Tread+. Head below for more details.

First debuted in 2022, Lanebreak is Peloton’s first gamification experience for its members. It was initially launched on the Peloton Bike and added to the Tread in June 2023.

Lanebreak is available to All-Access Members and is designed to give users variety in their workouts – while initially only available on the basic Tread and the Bike, it is now rolling out to Tread+ users.

How to play Lanebreak

Using a wheel-like avatar along a six-lane track, riders are positioned in time with the music to create unique workouts. Lanebreak offers a variety of music genres and workout types for people to choose from, and Peloton has said it plans to keep “the experience fresh and will regularly add more levels.”

Levels of Lanebreak include Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Expert, all of which differentiate in resistance. With a combination of speed, pedaling, and resistance, users complete what Lanebreak calls “Moments.” Using the resistance knob on the Tread or Tread+, users can turn the wheel avatar left or right between six lanes in order to get into the lane that has the upcoming Moment. In order to get more to the correct lanes, increased resistance is necessary.

Each level of Lanebreak is uniquely designed to match the music and the goal of that specific workout.

Where is Lanebreak?

Lanebreak can be found in Peloton’s on-demand library next to the instructor-led classes as well as in the “More” tab next to “Scenic Content” and “Just Workout.”

According to Pelo Buddy:

Just last month Peloton added numerous new features to Lanebreak, including the ability to stack classes, filter in the on-demand library and updated colors. Peloton also made a couple of Tread-specific Lanebreak updates, such as adding estimated distances to difficulty levels and a new “walking” option.
