This beautiful home gym features a woodsy view and plenty of equipment storage

We love a gorgeous, functional home gym setup here at Connect the Watts designed with the user experience in mind. Today’s at-home gym features a scenic view of the outdoors, a calming color palette, and plenty of storage space for equipment. Keep reading below the fold for more details.

Let’s take a look at today’s home gym setup, brought to us by Toronto-based andorwillow:

Favorite features

There is so much to love about this home gym that it’s difficult to know where to start. I love that it faces the outside, allowing for natural light to come in. I love that the equipment matches in color with a brown-neutral-black palette that includes touches of copper. The mirror is key, always, as a means of preventing you from injuring yourself because of potentially improper form.

There is no television (at least not in this picture) and there is versatile storage space. In this home gym, the storage space is used to house medicine balls and kettlebells, but of course, you could put anything on those shelves.

Suggestions for improvement

If I had to nitpick, I’d say a nice addition to this at-home gym would be an artificial plant either to the left of the cage, or opposite the yoga mat and stability ball. Other than that, this space has everything a person could want.

Cost breakdown

  • Whole Body Pilates Reformer – $900
  • Marcy Air Bike – $400
  • Kettlebell Set – $394
  • Xterra Treadmill – $315
  • Weight Plates Set – $240
  • Medicine Ball Set – $166
  • Olympic Weight Bench with Squat Rack – $149
  • Hex Dumbbell Set – $96
  • Stability Ball – $29
  • Yoga Mat – $20

Total cost: $2,709

Connect the Watts’ Take

This is a beautiful, functional home gym setup that anyone would be lucky to have in their home. Between the pilates reformer, the treadmill, and the weights, there are tens of thousands of exercises available.
