Lululemon’s Mirror unrolls connected weights and Black Friday deals

Lululemon has announced some enticing add-ons to its cutting-edge home fitness system, Mirror, in the form of connected dumbbells and ankle weights. Plus Lululemon is slashing prices on its sophisticated Mirror packages ahead of the holiday season, with a nudge to “shop early” due to supply constraints.

For those interested in grabbing a pair of free weights, sizes range from one pound to a hefty 35 pounds, with digitized feedback that tracks your reps, checks your form, and offers advice on how to optimize your workouts. They will be available starting November 22 both in stores and online at a price from $50 to $200 each. (So far their website hasn’t been updated with the new offering.)

Mirror is also launching what it calls a Universal Health Score, or UHS, which helps members track their cardio, strength, and recovery metrics to enhance their fitness goals. Paired with the new weights, workouts can be fine-tuned to provide maximum results, according to the company.

The company says of the new weights:

Mirror is all about immersion and interaction: You see yourself, your instructor, the community, your metrics, all on an immersive display, and it adapts to the needs of the individual user in real-time, Weights are the next big step in building out the high-quality “workout as an experience” that Mirror has become known for.

Lululemon, which acquired Mirror in June 2020, has also announced its expansion to Canada, with the Mirror available in some 40 Canadian Lululemon stores and online starting November 22. Mirror offers both live classes and on-demand content including boxing, barre, cardio, strength, yoga, meditation, and more, in addition to one-on-one training and family and prenatal/postnatal workouts.

Lululemon has also unrolled its Black Friday deals early this year, with $500 off plus free US delivery and installation (a total value of $750) on any package when you use promo code HOLIDAY21 at checkout. Mirror Basic packages start at $995 (originally $1,495), plus a $39/month subscription to Mirror’s live and on-demand workout library. Mirror’s Essentials package ($1,195 from the original $1,695) comes with a heart rate monitor, fitness band pack, a Lululemon yoga mat and strap, yoga block, and foam roller.
