Peloton fixes issue that prevented Tread+ from working without a membership

The Verge recently reported that Peloton owners will finally be able to use the Tread+ again without having a current Peloton All-Access Membership. As a way to increase safety for those who choose to keep their Tread+ in the recent voluntary recall, Peloton had implemented what it calls Tread Lock. Unfortunately, this new pincode system prevented Peloton Tread+ owners without a current membership from using the treadmill at all.

Now, the Peloton Tread+ is again functional without a membership. Peloton has started to email members that the free three months they had been given to compensate for this issue is coming up. In the email, Peloton writes:

We previously provided all Tread+ Members with a three-month waiver of their All-Access Membership, as a one-time courtesy. We would like to remind you that the three-month period is almost up.

There is still no news or updates on when the Peloton Tread or Tread+ will again be available for purchase. However, there are several other rumored Peloton strength devices that could be released in the near future, as well as the new upcoming heart rate band.
