Earlier this year, Peloton took the wraps off its new lower-cost treadmill. While no official Peloton Tread release date was given other than early 2021, we now know it’s coming to the US starting on February 9th.
On February 9th, it will be available in Florida, Illinois, New York, and Oregon. It’s unknown why these four states were chosen, but it could be related to shipping hubs or training centers. Availability will expand nationwide by March 30th.
No word has been given on when the lower-cost treadmill will be released worldwide, but Peloton CEO John Foley has said it will be in showrooms by Thanksgiving.
Peloton has been facing long wait times for its bike and tread products for the majority of 2020 due to high demand from the COVID-19 pandemic. It even had to pause the delivery of Tread+ for a few months as it didn’t have a way to safely deliver it. While bike orders continued to be delivered the majority of them were left assembled at the entryway to the home.
The new Peloton Tread measures smaller than most couches at 68” L x 33” W x 62” H. According to the original press release, it will be available in the UK on December 26th, 2020. No update has been given if Peloton still plans to make the original UK release date.
