[Update: Now available on Bike] Peloton begins testing new ‘Skip Intro’ button on the web

Update 10/12/20: Peloton has now added this functionality to a few Bike members. To unlock the ‘Skip Intro’ function, you must have completed at least five classes in that particular workout type.

Peloton appears to be adding a new feature that has been requested by members for quite a while. A “Skip Intro” button appeared on workouts done on the Peloton website earlier today.

The feature has yet to appear on the Bike or Tread, and if it’s on iOS, it’s only available to a small set of users. This feature will be fantastic for workouts you’re repeating or stringing together with other ones.

One of my main complaints with the current crop of Peloton strength classes is how long it takes to actually start working out. For a class I took over the weekend, there were only 13 minutes of an actual workout for a 20-minute class, so I’ll love this feature once it makes its way to the Apple TV app.

In the class in which I tested this feature, it skipped ahead three minutes to the end of the warm-up. Peloton already has these segments mapped out in the system, so they won’t have to go back and re-mark all of the introduction segments.

Hopefully, this testing will progress to the rest of the Digital apps as well as the Bike and Tread.
