Peloton adds a ‘Your Tags working out now’ filter

Earlier in the spring, Peloton added the ‘tag’ functionality to its service as a way for groups to join in community, plan group workouts, etc. Earlier this week, Peloton expanded that functionality by letting you see who inside of your tags are currently working out.

If you head to the classes section of the Peloton app, you’ll see a ‘Your Tag: Working out Now’ section at the very top. Tapping on this section will allow you to browse your tags who have at least once member who is in an active workout.

For such a simple idea, the Peloton tag system has been a big hit with Peloton riders/runners. It’s an easy way to filter the leaderboard down to just a group of people, find riders in your area, etc. The recent ‘Pelothon‘ was tracked entirely by having the right tag added to your profile. In the future, I’d love to see Peloton continue to add specific features for tags such as scheduled group workouts, push notifications if a number of people in your group are in the same workout, etc.
