A recent patent application made by Rexon in February of 2022 may show the design of the upcoming Peloton Rower. Discovered by Bob Treemore, the design shows a rower which uses a “Peloton-style” knob to adjust its magnetic resistance. Rexon is one of Peloton’s primary manufacturer partnerships.
Rexon does work with other fitness companies, so there is no guarantee that this is the design of the new Peloton Rower. However, as Treemore points out, there are several reasons it is likely. It is:
- Driven by magnetic resistance
- Has buttons on the handle
- Utilzies a large display
- Timing makes sense with the predicted May announcement date.
Additionally, as mentioned, the resistance for this rower seems to be adjusted by a “Peloton-style” knob, similar to what Peloton uses with the Peloton Tread.
The design also shows the front of the rower holding the display being able to fold forward. This is likely there to allow the rower to be stored upright to save space when not in use.
The first draft of the patent application was made in October, 2020. This is a newly updated application made in February of 2022.
No word yet from Peloton to confirm or deny if this patent is for their rower. Stick with Connect The Watts to stay up to date with the latest info.
