Echelon CEO discusses how to create the best possible gym environment for customers

Lou Lentine, founder and CEO of connected fitness company Echelon, sat down with Danny Dulkin, the vice president of Arch Amenities Group – an organization that creates wellness spaces. The two discussed how to create the best gym environment for clients and customers. Keep reading below to learn more.

Echelon and Arch Amenities Group work together as an equipment provider (Echelon) and designer (Arch Amenities Group) to provide people with a gym environment that they’re going to love.

When asked how the layout of a space – corporate, hotels, gyms, and so on – has changed over the years, Dulkin discusses how Arch has been “leaning into strength training” and experiential technologies as well as recovery and wellness, such as cold plunges. He goes on to explain that his clients want their spaces to feel finished, from the flooring to the windows to the general aesthetic.

Lentine is then asked how Echelon is designing products to meet and keep up with the trends that Dulkin and Arch Amenities noted:

It’s all about the experience with Echelon. They’re [customers] really immersed in the content when they workout… so even if they’re just watching Netflix or Hulu or a TV show, we want them to be engaged in the equipment. Our team is developing equipment to get them more involved in the equipment.

Lentine said that in order to keep up with current trends, Echelon’s software can update as needed to accommodate customer wants and needs. He compares Echelon’s software to Tesla’s, and mentions that just like how Tesla will update its software and he’ll get into his car to the delight of a new feature, Echelon equipment has the ability to do the same.

The newest kid on the block when it comes to designing fitness spaces is smart strength training equipment, something that Echelon is continuing to develop.
