From the garage to the salon, here are our three favorite home gyms this week

Happy end of week to you! On this last Friday before Daylight Savings kicks in and we prepare to welcome spring, we are taking a look at our three favorite home gym setups from this week. The first one is a home gym in a converted garage, the second looks to be simply an additional room setup, and the third combines exercise with beauty. Head below to learn more.

First up, we have this at-home gym setup courtesy of BLK BOX Fitness:

What I like about home gyms that are designed within a garage, or within a converted garage, is that you don’t have to worry about leaving the space messy or wearing certain shoes while exercising. Some of the home gyms I review here are so beautiful and so luxurious that I can’t imagine bringing any dirt or sweat into the space itself. This particular gym, though, is no-nonsense in its design and equipment choices, making it an ideal place to workout.

Cost breakdown:

  • BLK BOX Nexus Compact Rack – $7,190
  • Concept 2 SkieEg and Floorstand – $1,309
  • BLK BOX Basecamp 3 Tier Storage Rack – $931
  • AssaultBike Classic – $700

Total cost: $10,130

Check out our next at-home gym setup, courtesy of Kaitlyn Harris, interior designer:

There is so much to love in this space that I’m not sure where to start. Being able to have a home gym with that much natural light is always ideal, and this space has that in spades – additionally, there’s plenty of equipment for strength training, Olympic barbell training, and cardio. I also like the simplistic design choices, except for the millennial gray/white stripe aesthetic.

Cost breakdown:

  • RitFit Power Cage – $1,699
  • Schwinn Exercise Bike – $999
  • XMark Olympic Weight Set – $324
  • CAP Barbell Dumbbell Rack – $250

Total cost: $3,272

And now, the absolute best for last in this week’s roundup, brought to us by Buthaina Al Humaidy, an interior design studio:

Not only is this space designed for exercise, but it’s also designed for a ballerina studio, a hair salon station, and a small coffee station – I would simply never leave this space if I lived here. While the exercise equipment available is minimal, it’s effective, hitting the three components of fitness: strength, cardio, and flexibility.

Cost breakdown:

  • Concept2 RowErg Machine – $1,299
  • NordicTrack Treadmill – $1,289
  • Trideer Yoga Stability Ball – $29
  • Yoga Mat – $20

Total cost: $2,637
