Yet another Peloton executive is leaving the company

Ben Boyd, Peloton’s senior vice president of global communications, has announced his plans to leave the company after nearly two years. Keep reading below to learn more about another Peloton executive planning to depart the company.

As first reported by PR Week, Ben Boyd has announced that he is leaving Peloton after his nearly two-year stint at the connected fitness company as the SVP of global communications. Boyd made the announcement on his LinkedIn:

Nearly two years ago I joined one of the most amazing and impactful companies of our times, Peloton Interactive. Drawn by my love for the brand, my personal knowledge of the unparalleled fitness experiences it offers, and my belief in the future of the company, I jumped at the chance to lead global communications and editorial. I hoped to play some small part in the larger transformation agenda the company had embarked on while learning a thing or two along the way.

Today, I remain as confident about the future of Peloton as I was on my first day. I’m confident about its ability to impact Members’ lives (on an even grander scale) as well as to continue disrupting the world of fitness and wellness.

Boyd joined Peloton’s executive team in 2022 from Lowe’s, where he served as the vice president of communications for two years; before that, he was the chief strategy & operating officer at BCW Global, a PR firm, and for 14 years prior, Boyd was the chief client strategy officer for Edelman, another PR firm.

In his role at Peloton as the SVP of global comms, Boyd oversaw “all PR efforts, including corporate, executive, internal, financial, consumer, product and technology and emerging business communications globally,” (via PR Week).

Boyd’s departure comes at a tough time for Peloton, as its last earnings call revealed another drop in revenue, and stock shares hit a record low. Last year, Peloton brought in Lauren Weinberg as its new chief marketing officer, replacing Leslie Berland, who left Peloton to join Verizon as its newest CMO.

At this time, Peloton has yet to announce its replacement plan for the senior vice president of global communications.
