Peloton expands bike lease program to six more states, adds Bike+

Peloton has expanded their bike lease program, One Peloton Club, to six more states. In addition to more locations, Peloton has added the ability to lease the Peloton Bike+.

Launched last month, One Peloton Club was limited to nine showrooms, across four states. With leasers required to live within 30 miles of a participating showroom, the program’s reach was very narrow. With this expansion, the rental program has more than tripled its available locations.

Peloton touts this as “a new way into Peloton.” The agreement is a currently a monthly rental with no commitment; leasers also have the opportunity to purchase the equipment at a discount after 12 months. There is a one-time $250 delivery fee; however, there is no charge at the time of cancellation for them to retrieve the bike.

You must visit a participating showroom to enroll. Since eligibility is limited to residents within a certain distance from the showroom, it’s suggested you call ahead to verify you qualify. Existing All-Access members are ineligible to participate.

Peloton is still referring to One Peloton Club as a pilot program, so it is unknown if they intend to make this a permanent offering. Peloton is currently testing various monthly rates for rentals. Unlike purchasing a bike, the cost to lease will vary by location.
