This week, Ergatta has held two beta tests for its upcoming live multiplayer race mode. This new feature will allow up to nine Ergatta members to be matched together to go head-to-head in various race types.
While Ergatta already has a race mode where you can compete against others, it is not a live experience. Instead, you are matched up against other players’ ‘ghosts’ from their best effort.
Besides choosing one of the hundreds of available race types, there is also a popular ‘Race of the Week’ where Ergatta’s most competitive members fight to get the best time. While there is no official word on how the new live races will work, there is a good chance they will be centered around the ‘Race of the Week’ to ensure there are enough members to be matched up with.
As of now, there is not yet a set release date for the live multiplayer feature. Both beta tests seem to have gone well with few issues, so it may not be long until live races are available to everyone.
