iFIT announces new digital ‘Trophy Case’

After teasing an upgrade to its achievement system yesterday, iFIT later revealed a new digital ‘Trophy Case’ on its blog. iFIT will now automatically display trophies earned from taking part in challenges, live events, and milestones.

The iFIT Trophy Case will be added soon to both the iFIT app and be available to see on all iFIT-enabled exercise equipment. All physical and digital rewards iFIT members have earned in the past will also be brought into the Trophy Case.

iFIT is well known for sending free magnets and trophies to members taking part in challenges and events. While this update may not completely eliminate these physical rewards, with now over 6 million members, iFIT will be making some changes. The company wrote,

Thank you for being a member of the iFIT Community and participating in our Challenges and Live Events. We take pride in making each Challenge and event its own unique experience. The frequency of rewards, such as magnets and medals that you have come to love is changing.

Our thoughts

Personally, I really like the new addition of the Trophy Case. Even though earning the physical rewards was great, I felt a digital collection would be a good addition to allow more variety in iFIT’s challenges.

The way iFIT’s challenges currently work is that members have to work through a set collection of workouts within a month. The problem with this is that these collections do not always match up with one’s own goals or the iFIT series they may be taking. Hopefully, with the addition of the Trophy Case, there will be more options in how you can earn rewards.
