Peloton announced the second season of their Dance Cardio classes, featuring tracks by the eight-time Grammy winner and global superstar Usher (and Peloton member). As a special treat, Usher even makes a cameo appearance in a routine led by fan favorites Emma Lovewell and Ally Love. Peloton’s 6 million members can catch the classes now via the on-demand Peloton app.
Earlier this week, Peloton dropped an Instagram teaser announcing the new season featuring Usher’s 2010 single “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love,” clueing in fans to the new partnership with the star. The new season features seven 20-minute dance classes (140 minutes in total), all set to an Usher soundtrack of 54 tracks in total. Classes are led by Peloton’s stars Jess King, Callie Gullickson, Hannah Corbin, and Cody Rigsby (of Dancing with the Stars fame). For the Usher cameo class, Lovewell and Love co-created the dance routine with longtime Usher choreographer Jamaica Craft and Peloton’s Miles Keeney.
You can check out a behind-the-scenes video to see how it came together:
“Dance has the power to energize, ignite, and bring people together in a fun celebration of movement and music,“ says Usher. “I’m thrilled to lend my personal style to this new season of Peloton Dance Cardio. As a Peloton member myself, I can’t wait to move together as one community.”
Peloton’s head of music, Gwen Bethel Riley adds: “We developed this content so that anyone who takes these classes will feel like they are a center stage performer.”
