iFIT announces multi-year partnerships with the Boston, Chicago, London, and New York City marathons

Today, iFIT announced multi-year partnerships to become the Official Connected Treadmill and Digital Fitness Content Subscription partner of the Boston, Chicago, London, and New York City marathons. iFIT members will be able to run all four marathons virtually on their connected NordicTrack, ProForm, Freemotion, and Matrix treadmills.

Beginning October 3 with the 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon, iFIT will capture these events’ experience from a runner’s point of view and coached by an iFIT trainer. The four announced marathons include:

  • The Virgin Money London Marathon with Casey Gilbert
  • The Bank of America Chicago Marathon with Ashley Paulson
  • The Boston Marathon with Heather Jensen
  • The TCS New York City Marathon with Knox Robinson

iFIT will offer members the option to take these marathons as a multi-part workout series, or to run each marathon as an entire 26.2-mile course. The iFIT Marathon Series is set to be released throughout the fall. The iFIT Boston Marathon Series kicks off around October 21.

Mark Watterson, chief experience officer of iFIT, said:

The combination of the iconic Boston, Chicago, London, and New York City Marathons with iFIT’s interactive platform elevates runners around the globe to a new dimension in their race and preparation. It’s an honor for iFIT to be the official Connected Treadmill Training Partner and Digital Fitness Content Subscription Partner for these iconic races.

Our mission is to create the world’s most comprehensive health and fitness platform for our millions of dedicated iFIT members, and we do this by creating one-of-a-kind content. These partnerships further bring our vision to life as our members have the opportunity to take to the streets of Boston, Chicago, London, and New York City, and run iFIT streaming workouts of the world’s elite marathons on their treadmill.

iFIT recently set a new record for its longest available on-demand workout with the Kilimanjaro Half Marathon race. All four of these upcoming marathons will easily surpass this.
