MYX II vs. MYX II Plus: Which bike should you buy?

Alongside their new BODi platform, Beachbody also released their upgraded MYX II Bike that comes in two options: the MYX II and the MYX II Plus. We’ll take a closer look at each one and compare their packages, so you can figure out which bike is the best MYX for you.

MYX II vs. MYX II Plus pricing

For many people, the biggest difference between the MYX II Bike and the MYX II Plus Bike is the price. The MYX II Bike usually costs $2,580, but it is on sale right now for $1,399.

The MYX II Plus Bike is usually priced at $2,895, but it is currently on sale for $1,599. Even with both bikes on sale, there is still a $200 difference between them.

Features

The MYX II and MYX II Plus bikes are both available in Deep Charcoal or Natural White, and they have a lot of similar features. Both bikes include:

  • 21.5-inch touchscreen tablets
  • Polar OH1 Heart Rate Monitor
  • In-workout data including heart rate, speed, cadence, and distance
  • Thousands of workouts with new sessions added weekly
  • Pairing capability with Apple Watch
  • 30-day free home trial
  • 12-month manufacturer’s warranty

Both MYX bikes also require you to create a MYX membership, which is an additional $29/month.

While both bikes have a lot of similarities, you do get a few additional features with the MYX II Plus. On top of what I previously mentioned, the MYX II Plus also includes:

  • 6-piece weight set with kettlebell (weight rack not included)
  • Stabilizing Mat
  • Exercise Mat
  • 24” EVA Foam Roller
  • Resistance Band

Between the two bikes, the MYX II Plus is a more complete home gym setup, versus just a bike.

Final thoughts

Overall, the $200 price difference is not a bad deal, especially considering the equipment included with the MYX II Plus is really good quality. The exercise mat itself is almost two times the size of a regular yoga mat. If you wanted to, you could probably piece it all together on your own. But the convenience factor of having everything already together in one unit is really nice.

If you are looking for a more extensive setup for your home, I would recommend purchasing the MYX II Plus since it includes the extra equipment. But if you just want a good quality bike or you don’t have space for the extra equipment, then the MYX II is still a great option. Be sure to check out our review of the MYX II Bike as well.
