According to its company Twitter feed, Peloton’s next Artist series features music from Chris Cornell, the famed singer from Soundgarden and Audioslave. The series will feature Cornell-themed classes both live and on-demand across the Peloton community.
Peloton’s Artist Series is a revolving door of monthly spotlights of some the best music artists both past and present. These Artist’s folios provide the soundtrack to live and on-demand classes led by Peloton instructors across several different workouts on the platform.
In a recent Tweet from the official Peloton Twitter, the connected fitness leader announced the Chris Cornell Artist Series. As a result of Cornell’s long and diverse career, Peloton has a multitude of tracks to choose from.
This includes ’90s grunge music (a favorite of Emma Lovewell) from Soundgarden, and 2000’s rock with Audioslave. Cornell also had his own solo career throughout his life before he tragically died in 2017.
What mix of Cornell’s library Peloton will showcase remains uncertain, but here are the classes you can experience for yourself this month:
- On Demand – Chris Cornell Peloton Core Strength with Emma Lovewell
- 8/3/21 @ 7:30PM EDT – 30 minute Chris Cornell Peloton Yoga Flow with Kirra Michel
- 8/4/21 @ 8:00AM EDT – 45 minute Chris Cornell Peloton Ride with Christine D’Ercole
- 8/6/21 @ 7:00AM EDT – 30 minute Chris Cornell Peloton Run with Adrian Williams
From the time Peloton posted the tweet announcing the Artist Series, community support has been tremendous. Many fans of the singer and the fitness brand have expressed interest in the themed workouts as well as their appreciation for the late singer and his unique voice.
Peloton has described the series as “music that created the ’90s grunge movement,” so we’d expect it to be heavy on the Soundgarden tracks, although songs from Audioslave and Cornell himself are definitely still possible.
