Peloton planning to launch video game mode called ‘Lane Break’

This morning, the Verge reported that Peloton is planning to launch a new video game mode called “Lane Break” for Peloton Bike and Bike+ subscribers. This new game asks riders to change their cadence and resistance to control the on-screen wheel and accomplish a number of challenges.

On the Peloton game “Lane Break,” members will be able to choose a difficulty level, set up the type of music they want to listen to, and select the duration of the game. There will be three challenge types and opportunities to score points:

  • Pickups: gives you points by staying in current lane
  • Streams: gives you points based on your cadence
  • Breakers: gives you points based on your cadence based on energy output.

Lane Break is not yet available, but the Verge wrote that “a members-only beta will open later this year.” Peloton hasn’t yet shared any additional details or information on how members can sign up.

With two additional strength accessories potentially on their way, there is a lot to look forward to soon with Peloton.
