iFit details SmartAdjust and ActivePulse features to automate your workouts

In recent blog posts, iFit details the SmartAdjust and ActivePulse functionality that were added in recent software updates.

iFit has continued to expand the software functionality of the platforms it supports. SmartAdjust automatically adjusts your workout as you make changes to either the speed or incline, so you can easily follow along with the trainer. Your workout intensity is now automatically calculated based on your previous workout history with iFit.

Once your software is updated to 2.6.50 or later, you’ll see this pop up when you start an on-demand workout.

If at any time you want to go back to following the trainer, you can. When SmartAdjust is on, you can set a maximum speed, modify the incline, and the system will continue to learn your patterns.

ActivePulse

ActivePulse was announced back in January. This feature allows your heart rate to automatically adjust the treadmill’s speed and incline to always stay in the optimal heart rate zone. Until this feature was release, the benefits of heart rate training have relied on how well a person can manually monitor and adjust their effort to remain in a particular zone. With iFit’s ActivePulse, you’ll create a real-time feedback loop between a user’s measured heart rate and the treadmill’s speed and incline.
