Echelon Fitness
Since emerging in 2017, Echelon has continued to expand in the connected fitness space as a direct competitor to Peloton. Its recent collaboration with Sam Club should only help expand grown its fitness community by offering value and discounts in a relatively expensive market.
The six-month free trial is a nice touch. It offers customers a glimpse into the live and on-demand content offering cardio, Zumba, yoga, and strength all through the Bike itself and the Echelon Fit App. Customers will need to continue the membership thereafter for $20-$40 depending on the length. Regardless, the trial seems like a savvy selling point to get Sam’s Club members to pull the trigger.
At less than half the price of a new Peloton Bike, Echelon could capture a significant chunk of consumers looking to try connected fitness without having to spend as much. Sam’s Club could prove to be a wonderful vessel for that conversion as well.
