Peloton app for Android adds long-requested heart rate tracking

The Peloton digital app has become a popular workout partner for those without a Peloton bike or treadmill as gyms have stayed close for the past few months. But the Android app has frustrated many users with its lack of functionality compared to the iPhone and iPad apps.

The Peloton app for Android has gained a key new feature that was a long-requested one.

Heart Rate Monitor Support: Now you can connect a Bluetooth heart rate monitor to your mobile device to see heart rate metrics during workouts. Optimize your performance to meet your goals by tracking your heart rate zones

The Peloton app can be used to watch workouts on any Android devices or can be streamed to your TV using a Chromecast. The app is a free download, but it requires a $12.99 per month subscription. If you own a Peloton bike or treadmill, it’s included with your subscription.
