Golfers at Pebble Beach Resorts can now turn their best shots into shareable memories, thanks to the innovative ReelGOLF® Experience. During its beta testing phase, golfers can experience this cutting-edge technology on The Hay’s ninth hole, known as the Tiger Hole. Tiger Woods and TGR Design created The Hay as a nine-hole short course. It welcomes players of all ages and skill levels. Golfers can now capture, relive, and share their favorite moments with friends and family.
How the Reelgolf experience works
ReelGOLF combines artificial intelligence, cutting-edge videography, and social sharing to elevate the golf experience. On the Tiger Hole, AI-enabled Bosch® cameras discreetly positioned near tee boxes and greens record each player’s shot. Players scan a QR code to activate the system, which captures their shots and enhances them with shot tracing, names, and the Pebble Beach logo. Within minutes, the system sends a high-definition video to their phone, ready for sharing on social platforms.
This seamless experience is made possible by Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet, ensuring speedy uploads even on the most remote courses.
A timeless experience at Pebble Beach
For decades, Pebble Beach Resorts has offered unparalleled golfing experiences. Legendary Head Professional Peter Hay created The Hay in 1957 as a fun, inclusive space for juniors, families, and friend. In 2021, Tiger Woods and TGR Design revitalized this vision. They transformed it into a modern short course with holes named after iconic players and moments from Pebble Beach Golf Links.
With the addition of ReelGOLF, The Hay offers players even more opportunities to create lasting memories.
“The Hay offers something for everyone, whether they’re picking up a club for the first time or playing an extra nine after a championship course,” said David Stivers, CEO of Pebble Beach Company. “ReelGOLF technology on hole No. 9 lets our guests create and share memorable moments from one of our resort’s iconic features.”
Bringing innovation to courses worldwide
Pebble Beach leads the way in adopting ReelGOLF technology, and many more courses are following suit. Prestigious locations already showcasing ReelGOLF include Old Corkscrew Golf Club in Florida, Carter Plantation Golf Course in Louisiana, and Druids Glen in Ireland. Hole-in-One Media, Inc. created ReelGOLF to combine AI-enabled videography with features that generate revenue. These features include automated closest-to-the-pin challenges and custom event services, such as branded videos and leaderboards.
“Our technology was designed for partnerships like this,” said Kevin Imes, the creator of ReelGOLF. “The Hay attracts players of all ages and skill levels, creating an ideal environment for ReelGOLF. It allows people to stay in the moment and enjoy the game while we handle capturing and preserving their shots for years to come.”
