Aviron expands with gamified treadmill and loadable dumbbells

Aviron, a company known for integrating gamified workouts and entertainment into home fitness, is broadening its product lineup with the introduction of a new treadmill and loadable dumbbells. These new additions build on Aviron’s connected fitness ecosystem, including the Strong Rower and Fit Bike, offering more options for those looking for engaging home workout solutions.

The Aviron Treadmill

Set to be available for pre-order starting in November, the Aviron Treadmill is positioned as the first fully gamified treadmill on the market. Pre-orders will open on the Aviron website, with deliveries expected in early 2025. Priced at $2,499, the treadmill integrates Aviron’s interactive fitness platform, which has been central to its other devices.

With this treadmill, users will have access to a variety of game modes, scenic routes, live races, and instructor-led sessions, bringing more variety to running and walking routines. For those who prefer entertainment during workouts, the treadmill also allows access to streaming platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, while tracking stats on a 22” HD touchscreen.

The treadmill’s design includes a low-profile deck, only 4 inches off the ground, providing a stable, grounded feel during workouts. It also features a wider belt and shock absorption to reduce the impact on joints, aimed at creating a more comfortable running experience.

Aviron CEO Andy Hoang describes the treadmill as part of the company’s broader mission to make fitness more engaging through gamification: “We’re redefining what fitness looks like by incorporating gaming psychology with immersive game design across all major cardio modalities to make it fun and accessible for all.”

Aviron Loadable Dumbbells

Aviron has also released loadable dumbbells, which are available now. The dumbbells are designed to be adjustable, allowing users to switch between weights ranging from 7.5 lbs to either 25 lbs ($299) or 45 lbs ($499). With rubberized color-coded plates and a rotating bar that offers a neutral grip, the dumbbells are intended to provide both comfort and versatility during strength training sessions.

Aviron plans to introduce standalone strength training programs in 2025, expanding beyond their cardio-focused content. These new programs will integrate the loadable dumbbells into structured strength workouts, further diversifying Aviron’s fitness offering.

What these new products bring to Aviron’s platform

The introduction of both the treadmill and dumbbells marks a significant expansion for Aviron, allowing its ecosystem to cater to a wider range of fitness goals. The treadmill provides an interactive way for users to gamify their running experience, while the dumbbells open up more options for strength training.

These additions reflect Aviron’s ongoing efforts to create a more comprehensive fitness experience. With more variety in workout modalities and an expanded content library, users can choose from a range of options designed to keep them motivated and engaged, whether through gamified challenges or more traditional workouts.
