Peloton launches new ‘Teams’ feature within app

This week, Peloton officially launched a brand new area within its app called ‘Peloton Teams’. The new feature allows members to invite friends to teams, as well as create and compete in challenges.

Once you get the latest update for the Peloton app, you will be able to access teams through the community tab (outline of three heads) on the bottom panel. Once selected, you can create a new team or view any teams you have already joined.

If you create a team, you can invite any of your Peloton friends to join, though there is a team cap of 100.

From here, you can create or view group challenges, as well as weekly stats for everyone in the group. Challenges can be goal-based (e.g., complete 3 workouts within 7 days) or they can be competitive (e.g., who can work out the most within 14 days).

Create a Team, Invite Friends, and Create a Challenge!

Custom challenges can be made lasting up to 30 days and can be based on:

  • Number of days (“work out the most days during the challenge”)
  • Time (“work out the most time during the challenge”)
  • Number of Workouts (“complete the most workouts during the challenge”)
  • Distance (“go the furthest during the challenge”)

Additionally, members are not limited to just one team. Peloton is allowing everyone to both join and create multiple teams.

Before you check out Peloton Teams, consider this:
