Peloton’s Jess Sims to expand ESPN role

Peloton instructor Jess Sims will be expanding her role at ESPN as the Men’s College Basketball Saturday Primetime Game Reporter for the 2023-2024 season. Head below for more details.

ESPN has announced that Jess Sims, a Peloton instructor, will have an expanded role within the network as the Men’s College Saturday Primetime Game Reporter for the 2023-2024 season – this announcement comes after veteran ESPN reporter, Holly Rowe, decided to focus on the WNBA. A former Trinity College basketball player herself, this new role makes perfect sense for Sims.

In 2022, Sims joined the ESPN family as a member of the College GameDay Broadcasting team but has remained a Peloton instructor throughout and will continue to do so. ESPN is thrilled about Jess’s forthcoming role. Meg Arnowitz, ESPN senior vice president, production:

Jess has an incredible energy that connects with fans and viewers, and we’ve seen the impact she’s already had during her two years with ESPN. Her background and passion for basketball will be a welcome addition to our robust roster of commentators on our men’s college basketball coverage.

While Sims joined Peloton in 2018, she was first an educator until she decided to leave the education field to pursue her passion of health and wellness. Since having joined Peloton’s team of Tread instructors, Sims has taught bootcamp, strength, stretching, and running classes. Sims is equally excited about her new role within ESPN:

It’s an absolute honor to be joining the incredibly talented Saturday Primetime team! Basketball was my first love and it continues to shape the person I am both on and off the court. I am beyond thrilled to be back on the court for the biggest games each week.

According to Pelo Buddy, Jess will continue with her Saturday 60-class system:

During football season, Jess has still been bringing her Saturday 60 classes to members even though she hasn’t been in New York City on Saturdays. She has done this by pre-taping the classes on Mondays, with members in the studio. Those classes then premiere on Saturday during the regular Jess Sims Saturday 60 time slot. With this expanded role at ESPN, it appears this Saturday 60 class system will continue for the foreseeable future.
