Peloton studios closed one final day to prepare for reopening

Peloton is keeping its NYC and London studios closed for one last day as it prepares for a public reopening. Members will soon have a chance to attend live Peloton classes in person for the first time in more than two years.

Peloton has yet to reveal details on exactly when or how members will be able to sign up for live classes. But with a soft reopening rumored this week, more information will likely be released soon.

With Peloton’s surge in growth during the pandemic, the majority of current members have not been exposed to classes with live riders in the background. Opinions on the Peloton Facebook Page indicate a mixed reaction to the reintroduction of live riders.

Some Peloton members are excited to see the energy of a live audience return. Others are worries that the intimate “one-on-one” feel with the coach will not feel the same.

The Peloton coaches though, seem excited to no longer always be alone in a room talking to themselves. You can see Matt Wilpers getting excited about the reopening in this clip from a recent live class:

What are your thoughts on the upcoming reopening of the Peloton studios? Are you excited to see other people taking the classes live? Are you hoping to attend one yourself? Or are you worried that it will be too distracting while taking a class? Let us know in comments!
