When Peloton announced the opening of the London studio last week, it also teased about potentially adding some new coaches. The company wrote on its blog, “keep your eyes peeled for some new faces,” but did not elaborate further. Peloton has now officially confirmed that it has added two new UK Tread coaches.
The two new Peloton UK Tread coaches are Susie Chan and Jermaine Johnson.
Jermaine’s bio on the Peloton website reads:
London born and raised, Jermaine is driven by the belief that you make your own opportunities. From working as a professional dancer through building a brand as a fitness coach and now in his dream role at Peloton, movement has always been at the heart of everything he does. But this isn’t just going with the flow—this is movement powered by a hunger to hustle. It’s about developing the determination and skill to navigate obstacles and always keep pushing forwards. With his focus and natural warmth, he helps people step out of their comfort zone but in tune with their own bodies—bringing them together to train hard whilst growing in confidence.
Susie’s bio on the Peloton website reads:
When Susie’s brother convinced her to enter a half-marathon, it signalled a remarkable turning point for her. Previously more often found partying than PB-ing, Susie’s gone on to become one of the most recognisable faces in the British running community, a four-time Marathon des Sables finisher and a world record-breaker for treadmill running. It’s no wonder she believes everyone can be a runner, setting you up for success by focussing on technique, comfort and ticking off achievable goals, regardless of your age or ability. This wickedly funny Brit is all about helping you be the best version of yourself today.
The two new UK Tread instructors will host premiere runs later this week.
The premiere run for Jermaine Johnson is scheduled for Wednesday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m. EST. The premiere run for Susie Chan is scheduled for Thursday, September 16, at 2:00 p.m. EST.
These are not the only new Tread coaches Peloton has brought on recently. The company also added Kirsten Ferguson, Daniel McKenna, and Marcel Dinkins as new US coaches.
