Amazon Halo launches heart rate tracking with iFIT, OpenFit, and CLMBR

Today, Amazon Halo launched a new Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) heart rate setting that allows owners to see live heart rate tracking as an overlay on connected fitness equipment from top brands including iFIT (Nordictrack), OpenFit, and CLMBR.

Amazon Halo is a banded fitness tracker that has a membership service dedicated to helping their customers improve their health and wellness. The Halo app acts as a hub where members can access a suite of AI health insights and premium content.

To setup the BLE heart rate feature in the Halo app:

  1. Open the Amazon Halo app.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Heart Rate Sharing.
  4. Wearing your Halo Band, switch Share heart rate setting on.
  5. Accept the privacy terms.
  6. Follow the prompts to share your live Halo Band Heart Rate with another app or device.

Note: To complete pairing, accept the pairing request for your Halo Band in your supported fitness device or app. When connecting your Halo Band, the device name will show as “Amazon HR,” followed by four digits.

Switch Share heart rate setting off to stop sharing your live heart rate at the end of your activity or program. Tip: When Share heart rate setting is switched back on, Halo will automatically try to reconnect to the last paired device or app. To remove a device, select Forget Device.
