Connect home fitness manufacturer Tempo has recently expanded its app to Android and the Google Play Store. Furthermore, the “My Plan” feature within the app now gives both Apple and Android users the ability to achieve their fitness goals, whether they’re at home with Tempo or out and about on the app.
Tempo is a connected home fitness manufacturer with a flagship product called the Tempo Studio. This connected home smart gym is unique in that it utilizes free weights with zero arms or cables. Tempo is also freestanding, compared to several other smart gyms that are wall mounted.
What’s even more unique to Tempo is its technology. The device’s 3D sensors paired with an AI give owners real-time feedback and can track your form, even if you aren’t touching any equipment.
Tempo app available for Android
This past week, the fitness company announced it had launched the Tempo Fit app for Android on the Google Play Store. Previously, the Tempo Fit app was only available on the Apple Store.
It’s important to note that the Tempo Studio device operates on its own without the app. However, with the addition of Android integration, all Tempo members are now able to use the app in addition to their home Tempo Studio.
The app offers users a holistic, cross-device user experience that of which they can utilize and bring back with them to their the Tempo Studio at home. The goal is to make it easier for Tempo owners to stay engaged and to achieve their fitness goals, even if they’re away from their home device.
Tempo’s “My Plan” feature
With the rollout of the Tempo Fit app for Android, members can utilize the “My Plan” feature introduced in March. This comprehensive revamp of the mobile app provides members with weekly, personalized workout plans and classes based on their goals, fitness levels, and preferred schedules.
Tempo Studio owners can now simply answer questions about their overall fitness goals, what days they prefer to train, how often, the duration of classes preferred, and their experience level.
From there, My Plan will offer a weekly overview of your progress, weekly planning, and a custom-built workout schedule. So not only will the AI of the Tempo Studio feel like you have a trainer in the room with you, but the coinciding app can help keep your schedule on track as well. No matter where you are.
